Where is the world heading?

I used to think due to improved technology there will be ease in doing work, earning money and life would become better. But the opposite is happening, it's like the beginning of terror in the whole world. The technology we would have used to make lives better is making our lives miserable. Wars have started breaking loose. We are all looking forward to what will happen next. There are many chances that a Third World War may break loose. If you observe the cause of all these wars it's all about who is the most powerful in terms of science and tech(weapons) and not forgetting money. If the WW3 is to breakout will there even be a chance of survival? There are now weapons that are 100 times more destructive than that one used in WW2. So really where is our world heading does it have a future or what? God help us.
